An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a document that is developed for a student who has been identified as having a disability and who is eligible for special education services in the United States. The IEP is developed by a team of educators, parents, and the student (if appropriate) to meet the student’s individual needs and to help them make progress in school.

The IEP includes information about the student’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals for their education. It also outlines the specific special education and related services that the student will receive, such as accommodations, modifications, and support. The IEP is reviewed and updated on at least an annual basis to ensure that the student’s needs are being met and that they are making progress.

The goal of an IEP is to provide the student with the necessary support and resources to be successful in school and to help them reach their full potential.
